Ticket Office Policies

The Stephen Sondheim Center for the Performing Arts Ticket Office is located inside the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center lobby. Hours are 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and two hours prior to all performances. The Fairfield Arts & Convention Center administration offices are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The three ways to purchase your tickets include in person at the ticket office, telephone orders and online purchasing with a print-at-home option. Tickets may be purchased online here until one or two hours before curtain of the particular performance. Tickets purchased online and over the phone may be picked up at the Ticket Office will-call window at any time during Ticket Office hours or one hour prior to the performance.

We gladly accept cash, personal checks, VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express. Checks should be made payable to "The Fairfield Arts & Convention Center" or "FACC."

All ticket sales are final. There are no refunds except on shows that are cancelled and not rescheduled.

There is no compensation if you miss a performance or cannot attend a future performance you have already purchased tickets for.

Prices, dates, times, performers, and performances are subject to change at any time.  Such changes do not dictate a refund or exchange unless authorized by the producer, promoter, or Fairfield Arts & Convention Center.

Special promotions and ticket offers are valid on new ticket purchases only. They are not valid on previously purchased tickets and there are no price adjustments after a sale.

Inclement weather happens and the safety of our guests is our top priority. However, performances are rarely cancelled due to weather. If you are concerned about attending a performance due to inclement weather, please call the Ticket Office at 641-472-2787.

Fairfield Arts & Convention Center Donors are able to exchange their Artist Series, Fairfest Series or Organ Music Spotlight tickets to another performance of the same series up to 24 hours in advance of the original tickets. If the new ticket is more expensive than the original, the guest is responsible for the difference. There is no refund if the Donor exchanges for a less expensive ticket.

Artist Series or Organ Music Spotlight Series tickets may not be exchanged for any event that is not part of the current Artist Series or Organ Spotlight Series. Tickets that are not part of the series may not be exchanged for an Artist Series or Organ Music Spotlight Series ticket.

There are no exchanges allowed on complimentary tickets to any performance.

If you are not a Fairfield Arts & Convention Center Donor, all ticket sales are final with no refunds or exchanges. Call the Ticket Office with questions on becoming a Donor and the other benefits that come with supporting the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center.


Ticket prices are according to zones for all Artist Series & Fairfest Series performances: Zone 1, Center Orchestra, Side and Rear Orchestra; Zone 2, Balcony and Mezzanines; Zone 3, Mezzanine Box Seats with limited view; and Zone 4, Mezzanine Box Seats with restricted view.  Some performances and events are open seating, general admission.

Children are welcome to attend performances at the Sondheim Theater. The Fairfield Arts & Convention Center does not censor performances nor make any guarantees of show content. We encourage parents to use their discretion when deciding if a show is appropriate for their child. Children under the age of four do not require a ticket if the child will be sitting with a guardian for the entire duration of the performance.

If you have lost or have forgotten your tickets, the Ticket Office personnel will make every effort to locate your ticket order number in the ticketing system. If the ticket information is unable to be located, the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center may not allow guest to enter theater. Please call or visit the Ticket Office if you have lost your ticket(s). 641-472-2787


Artist Series& Fairfest Series: The Fairfield Arts & Convention Center is pleased to offer season tickets and discount multiple show packages for the Sondheim Center for the Performing Arts Artist Series & Fairfest Series. This includes the discounted Platinum - four tickets to all performances and Gold - two tickets to all performances. The season ticket packages are discounted 20 - 25% off the single ticket price. The pick packages - Pick 10, Pick 6, Pick 3 - offer the opportunity to select one ticket to ten, six or three performances with discounts up to 15% off single ticket prices. Fairfield Arts & Convention Center gift certificates for any dollar amount are available for purchase at the Ticket Office or over the phone at 641-472-2787. Gift certificates purchased over the phone are subject to a $2.25 mailing fee. Cash Gift Certificates do not expire.

The Fairfield Arts & Convention Center welcomes groups of 10 or more to performances at the Sondheim Center with discounted tickets of up to 20%, to most performances and events. Contact the Ticket Office, 641-472-2787 to arrange your group's visit and ask about dinner and a show options. 

The Fairfield Arts & Convention Center offers discounted tickets to youth, 18 years of age and under, and students. Youth & Student tickets are only $10 for all performances of the Sondheim Center for the Performing Arts Artist Series and are available at the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center Ticket Office. Youth tickets to the Sondheim Organ Music Spotlight Series are free. Youth tickets are not available online.

The Fairfield Arts & Convention Center strives to make every accommodation possible available to guests needing accessible seating. Seating is limited and we encourage guests to make arrangements in advance. Contact the Stephen Sondheim Center for the Performing Arts Ticket Office to make arrangements. Please note there is not an elevator and it is a minimum of 20 steps to Zones 2, 3, or 4 in the theater.

All tickets, regardless of purchase location, include a restoration facility fee retained by the Center for general maintenance and upkeep of its venues.
